Membership Information
JOIN CASE
CASE Membership is open to all who are interested in furthering the aims and objectives of CASE, regardless of nationality or country of residence. Individuals and individuals representing organizations or institutions who agree to abide by CASE by-laws and policies are also welcome to join.
As of October 2025, annual membership dues will be on a 2-tier basis at $40 – regular / $25- student/other CAD. Payments will also be accepted well before October 2025. For further questions please contact: info@soundecology.ca.
For current CASE members, please click the PayPal Subscribe button below in order to keep up to date with your dues. To join CASE, click the Join CASE button below, where you will be asked for your name, coordinates, and a web link for more information on your work/interests in acoustic ecology. You will also be able to receive information from the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology (WFAE).

MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
CASE members have access to a range of activities such as member meetings, voting at the annual CASE general meeting, involvement in creative, educational, research and community-based projects and participation on the Board of Directors. (Note that Board membership is reserved for Canadian citizens.) CASE has a rich history of activities supporting research, awareness, and education about acoustic ecology. Your membership will allow CASE to pursue innovative projects promoting/supporting acoustic ecology and related fields in Canada. CASE is a bilingual organization (English and French), however most activities at this time take place in English.
DONATIONS
We encourage members and all who share our interest in acoustic ecology in Canada and who have the resources to donate annually to support CASE’s basic operating costs (bank and internet fees, sponsored projects, etc). We suggest an annual donation of $40 (or more) for those who are employed or with stable revenue and $20 (or less) for students, unemployed or under-employed. 20% of all donations to CASE are shared annually with the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology (WFAE), of which CASE is an affiliate member, for shared services such as the Acoustic Ecology journal and international conferences such as Listening Pasts – Listening Futures.
